"The hotel advertises a pool with a bar. The first time I went there in Sept last year they said the bar was only open in the "summer". We were there the second week of Sept. Apparently, their concept of "summer" differs from the rest of So Cal. This time stayed here in Aug and was told the bar was not open on Mondays or Tuesdays."

"The wifi was spotty at best. Traveling for work and it was necessary for a morning meeting. I had to leave early to get to a Starbucks for wifi. A hot breakfast would be a nice addition."

"This place was absolutely wonderful—cute, charming, and perfect for enjoying the full Solvang experience! The property is beautiful, with cozy patios and wine served in the evenings. If you’re planning a trip to Solvang, I highly recommend staying here. We had an excellent experience!"

"If you’re looking for lavish accommodations and a spectacular breakfast buffet, look elsewhere. On the other hand: King Frederick Inn was a delightful place to stay for our one-night visit to Solvang. It’s an older facility (no elevator) but the property is well-maintained and the staff are friendly. The AC unit was loud, but effective. The continental breakfast bar was limited (Please Take Only One) and just a step or two above Little Debbie treats. Adequate free parking was very convenient. The best feature is the proximity to everything in downtown Solvang - it’s less than two blacks from the PCPA Festival Theater."
