“Let me start with the PROs of the home - it has plenty of room for a large family! It is close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge while also being right on the water and the town of Newport is close (20 minutes) for groceries, pharmacy, hospital etc. The kids loved swimming and playing in the water! And the house is in a small cove so we were able to use our paddle boards!  The view from the deck is great! We saw a black bear swimming in the cove, and eagle catching fish and pretty sunsets.Now for……

“We rented this home for a large family reunion, including elderly grandparents, because the advertised number of bedrooms and bathrooms met our needs. Unfortunately, the property fell well short of expectations due to numerous maintenance, cleanliness, and safety issues.The biggest concern was the third-floor showers. They had virtually no usable cold water, and even when set to cold, the temperature would suddenly become dangerously hot without warning. One member of our family was burned while……

“Location was perfect and cabin was exactly as pictured. When we arrived the grass was pretty high. They were able to send someone the next day but they only cut around the fire pit, not including the grill. Some of the linens may need to be replaced as there were stains on the sheets and comforters. The paint on the deck is peeling pretty bad and would stick to your feet. When cooking, the microwave above stove didn't work so we were not able to use the exhaust fan when cooking. Also trash was……

“Host was easy to get ahold of and helped work through the troubles we were having signing the rental agreement. Plenty of space. Hot tub was great after a day in pigeon forge. Our family of four had plenty of space. ”

“Home was spacious. clean and had everything we needed. Tons of chairs and huge tables to enjoy eating and and playing games together, indoor or outdoor.”

“There were quite a few light bulbs burnt out, I ended up replacing them myself. Remote controls should be labeled, some bedrooms were missing all remotes, others had 2 or 3 direct tv remotes in them. Would definitely benefit from a general maintenance sweep. Other than those things it's a beautiful cabin, with amazing views, an attractive layout/design, and fair pricing. ”
