“The property is undergoing a major renovation. While my room was very spacious, generally clean, and had recently been renovated, it lacked a closet, clothes hangers, a desk chair, a towel bar, and toilet paper hanger. When I asked for clothes hangers and a wash cloth, the front desk attendant gave me the hangers, but said they didn't have wash cloths. If I have know the property was undergoing a major renovation, I would have stayed somewhere else.”

“Do not stay at Garden City Inn. The reviews and photos online do not accurately reflect the state of the property. The beds are hard and uncomfortable, the room was not clean, and upper management does not care about your experience. I cut my stay short due to the dirty conditions of the room (soap scum and dirt in the shower, hair on the floor and towels) and how uncomfortable the bed and sheets were. Upon checking out, I asked the employee at the front desk if it was possible for us to have a……

“The room was clean, bathroom updated. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional. The breakfast was a perfect way to start the day although it is a old hotel which you must take into consideration it was perfect for two nights pool was clean furniture.”

“Despite the claim of Expedia that all prices shown include taxes and fees, INCLUDING RESORT FEES, when I tried to check in at the Ocean Plaza I was told I would be charged an additional $16.67 per night "resort fee". I demanded a refund and was told they would not refund the first night's fee. These people are running a scam in violation of Expedia's policy. They are counting on people paying the additional charge rather than look for another room at the last minute. I have filed a complaint……

“The room was clean and parking was well lit”

“Older place but Our room was clean. Beach view was great. Location perfect next to the 2nd Ave pier. Staff was friendly. Hot tub warm but no jets. the pool splash pad and lazy river were good. There were limited chairs around the pool and no pool towels offered Plenty of ice from the multiple-ice machines The staff were wonderful and let us swim while we waited to check in and then let us check in early once our room was ready. Super thankful for that ability. Not fancy but……

“We had a late check in around 10pm, the staff is so friendly once we walked in the hotel. This Hampton has rated the best Hampton in the nation for the past 5 years and I totally agree with the rating. The room is clean and big, the morning breakfast area is very comfortable (the food are ok). Basically it's a great hotel. The only 2 downsides are: (1) sound proof not too good (2) the pool is really tiny But it is a great stay, except for the price is a little high (we paide US$220 per night)”
