“The place was comfortable, but needs a good cleaning. We stayed two weeks. The steep fire escape steps to get into the rental felt treacherous in the rain and would be really difficult for kids and for people with mobility challenges. The biggest problem with the place is that this unit has noisy neighbors. It is in a four plex building and the neighbors below and to the side played loud music and were loud. The walls are quite thin. On Friday and Saturday nights, the parties went until 6 am. ”

“We had some difficulties/delays communicating via VRBO. No fault of the host. The door code provided in the check-in email didn’t work. Apparently the property manager has changed the code & hadn’t notified the host. Thankfully, we were able to get the new code without too much trouble. The actual couch at the property was different from the one pictured & was quite worn with a tear in the fabric & a spring that was visibly pushing against the fabric. We also had some problems with electricity……

“It is a spacious and well decorated and comfortable. Kitchen was great modern appliances. Dining room with the table being set for 4, even a Christmas tree. Loved the bathroom in the master suite! Only negative was the bed linens. Communication with host was almost instant.I would highly recommend this host/house and will stay again.”

“Check-in was quick and the host is nearby and responded immediately to the few issues we had.The unit was clean and matched the description and photos. We had wanted to stay in the Bywater for awhile and the unit was nicely located close to restaurants, coffee shops and the river which was attractive to us. You could walk to many attractions or generally find street parking easily in contrast to other sections of New Orleans. We would stay in James' unit on return trips to New Orleans without a……
