“Loved this small inn. Great, hot breakfast made to order. Friendly staff and clean room. Would stay again. Perfect location for visit to Highclere and Stonehenge.”
“Lovely lovely old hotel/pub in a charming village. Dear Lord it was so hot when we were there but we hada turbo fan provided. Parking is slightly limited but we always nabbed a space. Everything was clean and the restaurant was great. The best place for miles.”
“Very well appointed and high end finish. Good location for the racecourse as 20 minute walk. Lovely staff and delicious breakfast. Will definitely stay again.”
“This is a very old Inn with oak beams and uneven floors. The facilities were good however the room was unbearably hot. Even though we had 2 fans on we were just covered in sweat as soon as we came out of the shower. It was impossible to sleep.”
“This roadside pub with inn above was so convenient for my stopover to Highclere Castle, it’s a shame I didn't have more time there. The staff is friendly, the room is comfortable and quiet, the shower has great water pressure.”
“The food was very good and staff great. Grace was a wonderful server. The inn is certainly olde and genuine. Not a pretend olde . Rooms are very unusual with individual names. All are separate from the pub.
Obviously the pub is the main venue for the local population.
The room was modest size but had two TVs. The shower floods the bathroom. Not a big deal.”
