“Not worth the price! Furniture is horrible, uncomfortable, and rooms are decorated from two decades ago. The shower floor was so slippery I almost fell numerous times. Do not stay if you are elderly. Staff were unfriendly and not personable at all. Free breakfast was not good. Stay elsewhere in town. This hotel is way overpriced for what it is. Wouldn’t stay here again.”

“Door didn’t work- had to go down 3 times to get in the room- but still charged do early check in. The pending incidental charge was $100 for out of state vs $25 for in state. It has a decent continental breakfast.”

“Patrick and Debi were amazing hosts.The property is very clean and well kept.They were very accommodating and personable and the grounds were very peaceful and quiet.Breakfast was delicious and we will always choose Shane Acres over any hotel when we need a place to stay in the Madison area. Thank you for everything. We will definitely be back!”

“Check in was courteous well done but could have been quicker. Room was clean, laid out well and had proper toiletries etc. I went to use hot tub but it looked like it needed cleaned. The staircase was dusty and so were other areas that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Breakfast was ok in quality but they were out of coffee so guests had to go to the lobby for coffee and the eggs were out for for quite a while despite very few guests in the breakfast area. No one was at the front……

“It’s a very cute quiet little inn. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The beds were soooo comfortable and they even give pool towels on top of your shower towels.”

“The room we stayed is was clean. It looked as though it may have recently been renovated. But the overall hotel looks very dated. The pool was a bit green and cloudy so we certainly did not use it.”

“The Hot Tub could use less chlorine and more water. The jets were shooting the water upward. The pool water was freezing. Overall, it wasn't a terrible place to stay.”
