“We know the hotel can't control the weather, but we were surprised by the lack of effort to offer some kid friendly activities with 4 straight days of rain. Other issues we encountered: 1) our shower looked like it was never cleaned. The same 2 pieces of hair were stuck on the tile when we arrived and left. Lots of mold too. 2) my husband took my tween daughters to the gym with him (since we were all going stir crazy from the 3rd straight day of rain!) They were rudely informed at the desk……

“I think of a Ritz Carlton as an over the top experience but I feel the Amelia Island Ritz is underwhelming. With all resort fees, parking cost etc., the nightly room charge was $1400. That is no food or activity charges. We were disappointed their “Salt” restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday so did not get to eat there. Other eating options are fine but not special by any means.”
