“Lovely hotel in the centre of town with a great, helpful staff.”

“There was a good selection at the Breakfast buffet and the cooked breakfasts were delicious. I particularly recommend the Scottish smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. The room was clean. The hand shower performed badly, I found it a faff to get the temperature right and the water pressure was very poor. With no shower curtain the floor became very wet. The creaking floorboards wer atmospheric but not conducive to a good sleep especially when neighbours next door and above got up several……

“The Lookout is in a great central location with a good sized car park, which you have to pay for separately. There is a bar behind the reception desk where we bought a drink. Our room was large and the bed clean and comfortable, but everything looked a bit tired- the cushions were stained and the curtains had a few holes. The bathroom was also large but dated. The breakfast was good and the hot items were well cooked. I would stay again, but I feel that a few updates are needed.”

“Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.”

“I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. ”
