"This property has been under renovation for the past few years, with about another year of construction still to go. They are transforming an old winery into what will eventually be a 5- or 6-star resort, complete with a spa and other amenities. We stayed for two nights with our 11- and 13-year-olds and booked a family suite. "We had a wonderful stay at Relais Vignale! Our room was wonderful and we had a beautiful terrace. The breakfast was lovely and included and the pool was relaxing. We also used the spa for a morning which we loved before the winery tour we booked through the resort. It made the trip so easy and relaxing and it was nice to cross the street to Dante’s for food and wine and walk around the beautiful little town of Radda. Highly recommend!!"

"This hotel needs another star!!! It is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, and well supplied. The bathroom is luxurious. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is delicious and the garden is relaxing and fresh with turtles that come up and say hi while you dine. There is a library where you can take books and trade them with ones you have read. I will stay here again next time I come to Siena."

"This hotel was absolutely fantastic! Set in the beautiful scenic Chianti Hills of Tuscany. The buildings and the property had been a 16th century village. And all of the buildings had been beautifully restored to return it to originally and feel, but to include all the modern amenities. The staff were all highly. professional,well friendly, courteous, welcoming and extremely accommodating – going above and beyond with every request presented to them. The rooms are all clean, comfortable with spotless, modern bathrooms, and importantly, during our stay while air conditioned. The daily complementary breakfast buffet was always well prepared. With a great variety of fresh pastries, biscotti, and cakes and numerous coffee and beverage options and coldhot cereals, abundant freshly cut bowls delicious fruit. Also including several protein items, including scrambled and poached eggs, fried prosciutto. With several other meat and cheese options to top up the protein.. The lunch is a wonderful selection, including great salads, sandwiches and pastas. And the dinners were wonderfully prepared Italian specialties with many meat and pasta options. Despite a few excursions into Florence, we took most of our meals at the hotel, where we usually ate on an outdoor patio, surrounded by the beautiful countryside and attended to by the charming and ever-helpful staff. I cannot recommend the Salvadonica hotel strongly enough!"
