It’s a no frills location that fits the bill for a night stop over or short stay. After all, when in Mammoth Lakes you’ll never be in your room anyway. So much too do.

First of all the room and property were very clean and the shower had good water pressure. Now the bad. The first night the air conditioning worked ok but the second night it blew heat and smelled like the filter needed to be changed. I discovered it at 1 am or I would have called the front desk. Instead i just opened the window because it triggered my allergies. The fan in the bathroom was so loud it would wake everyone in the room if we turned it on in the middle of the night. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly so we just shut it but not all the way. The beds were really uncomfortable and the room should have only fit one queen bed instead of two doubles. But my favorite part was the passive, aggressive night attendant that scolded me for demagnatizing my room key. I mean its Motel 6 but I think they can do some improvements to make it better.

the property is conveniently located. The staff was friendly and provided excellent recommendations to a first time visitor. They went out of their way to help. The rooms were fine. The exterior of the property needs some serious maintenance. A fresh coat of paint is needed before all the railings rust out as well as the overhangs.

There was no hot water. Like, at all. Rooms are tiny, but bathrooms are strangely spacious (useless). Could hear every step from above, and every time the neighbors turned on water it was loud. Not much better than sleeping in a car.

The motel had a power outage for 5 hrs. during our stay. We later found out the whole town was in the dark. We had to go to the staff to find out info. It would of been nice if the staff had come around with info.

You have an expectation with Motel 6. This property exceeded our expectations! It was clean, in a nice area, and the staff were incredible. Out of all our experiences with the staff at restaurants and shops in the Mammoth Lakes area, the staff at this hotel were, by far, the friendliest and most helpful. The only two things that Took the hotel down to 4 stars instead of 5, was that the pool is no longer there and the rooms are TINY.
