“Multi story hotel, well maintained, with large comfortable rooms and everything a traveler needs. Well appointed exercise room and laundry were appreciated. Morning breakfast was spacious unlike so many hotels whose offerings are after-thoughts. The hotel is relatively remote, requiring a 10-13 mile drive for a choice of resturants or activities--probably a negative for entitled types. A large truck fuel stop sits close to the front of the hotel--the wise traveler would be wise to ask for……

“Needs blackout curtains and doors had large gaps on the bottom. You could see peoples feet walking by and the light from the hallway underneath the door. Unable to get a good night sleep.”

“Free Parking is actually street parking, although there were adequate spots it was not something provided by the hotel. Got into our room and first thing my wife said was the a/c unit was extremely noisy that would make it hard to sleep. I spoke to the hotel representative (only one on site) and she put us in another room and the a/c unit in that one was fine. Several booking sites, including Hotel DeFuniak's own webpage indicates there is a free breakfast with the room. In fairness the hotel……

“The room was outdated and did not have a pool like it stated they did online. Their breakfast did not have much of a choice just waffles bananas toast a couple different pastries and orange juice and coffee.. it was in a good location and the staff was friendly but I want stay there again.”

“Jena was amazing!! They went above and beyond. My sister passed away and they were so kind with words of sympathy and hugs. As we had to extend our stay from 4 nights to 8 nights, they extended us a bereavement rate. They are as asset to Marriott!!!!”

“I was greeted as I walked in. I had keys and water in my hand before my family walked In the door. I felt important. The hallway was well lit and had a good temperature and smell. Room looked immaculate.”

“Do not stay here. There's a days inn on the property that is better. It was the most disgusting room ever.”

“If you're looking for the perfect place to stay, this definitely isn't it. Although the staff seem friendly, they aren't. I was questioned by the breakfast prep guy about my stay right after checking out, c'mon man. And then after I checked out, they wouldn't give me a guest receipt. Other than this, there was some trash in my room & hairs in my bed. Did they even change the wrinkled sheets or was I sleeping on someone else's DNA? If you're not picky, then this place will suffice but it was……
