"Great location close to everything. Magnificent Mile, The Chicago Theater, Eatly were all within a block or two. The hotel was very clean and updated. The staff was friendly. Apparently they just changed names and are no longer The Royal Sonesta, but called The 505 Hotel now which wasn't changed in Google maps or Lyft yet so that was a little confusing, but typing in the street address instead of a hotel name helped. Check-in was strange, they didn't seem to have any of my info and I had to show my confirmation and then she still said I needed to pay and I had to show the receipt with my cc number and prepayment proof. That was a weird interaction. She then said the last 4 of a phone number that was 100% not mine and they didn't have my email address so I had to update all of that with them. I don't know why they had the incorrect info completely for my reservation. Overall it was a weird interaction. Other than the TV not connecting sometimes, the rest of my stay was great and I would stay again if even just for the fantastic location."

"I was very impressed by how clean the room was. It is the old hotel actually it's a landmark hotel that has a historic crack in the front. There was a slight problem entering the handicap accessible parts might not all work.. also I think with the beauty of the bathroom, which I loved that there should be a sign for people who are using any type accessible or bars to be careful because they're very slippery when they're moist wet and they need to use a towel to keep from getting into any unnecessary accident. Otherwise it was quite good and also when I needed additional things like a microwave, the staff was there immediately to take care of it.. as a matter of fact, the staff has been exceptional and I would recommend that hotel anytime with those types of people that are working there. I did not have the breakfast, but it is available and there are some things that need to be updated. I think on their website and the other travel outlets to let people know that there is gonna be a thief of reference, but there is a wonderful bakery right next-door as for parking I can't say because I came in pedestrian and I used the Lyft Taxi Service."

"The hotel room was dark. The hôtel definitely needs an update. Ild carpet dark brown deco. For the price one would expect a nice fresh hotel. Bedding was not the best. Mattress was really soft. There is a gap between walls and bed . Pillows kept falling in it overnight. Very annoying."
