“I have been searching for the perfect cabin near Denver to “run away” to after a busy summer. I finally found it! Brookside will be my annual escape. You have provided for my every knee, including extra special touches. I was especially delighted to find the house slippers and chocolate cookies. My favorite thing is the hammock right beside the river – a dream come true! See you next year. You are very gracious hosts.”

“The location was terrific as it afforded me easy access to multiple trailheads to nearby 14ers. Major downfall was the cooking supplies could not be used and the cleanliness of the place left a bit to be desired.”

“We found the check in process difficult but realised on our travels around Colorado that this is normal. It was just missing the personal touch. The cabin was roomy and had everything needed (except a hairdryer!!!!) for a two night stay. It just all felt a little grubby. “Great cabin that is clean and in the quiet town of Ferncliff. We loved getting water from Crystal Springs up the road! Check in/check out was easy and management was very attentive.”

“Overall the cabin is very cozy and comfortable. Clean; stocked with cooking ware. We use ATT cellular, which was NOT available in the area, but bypassed it with Wi-Fi, which worked well. It’s close to the road, but there’s not much traffic so it was pretty quiet. The river seating area is beautiful but it is close behind the other cabins, so if you prefer more privacy it’s a little awkward.
