“Room both comfortable and attractively decorated. Private patio and public patio outside our door very attractive, quiet, relaxing. Breakfast room cozy, food exactly what we liked: breads, fresh fruit, hot egg dish, staff friendly and accommodating. Location quiet, comfortably short walk to Plaza and city center. All in all, a lovely experience away from crowds, but close to plenty of Santa Fe action.”

“I believe it used to be a motel that has been transformed into a cute, tiny hotel. It was not very close to La Plaza so walking was intense without a car. We had hot days, stores did not open before 10/11 am and many were close d completely or would close at 5 pm. All in all it was ok but I found staff as totally uninformed and non cooperative. Most common answer was "I don't know".”

“Staff was outstanding. Location can not be beat - steps from the square. Lovely, comfortable room. Nothing pretentious, just an old-world (Santa Fe) charm. Garage parking made getting out of the city easy too. I would most definitely recommend. I wasnt sure what to expect and was delighted.”

“This property is going through big renovations! It did not meet the standards as was described on their online site. No one was available in office from 6:00 pm until 10:00 am, in event of an emergency, No lighting outside of building after dark, had difficulty figuring how to turn lights on & off in room (very odd), no television in room. Overall it was not satisfactory for our needs / we are seniors & did not feel safe in this situation.”

“I booked 4 nights at the Vanessie because it was located close to the downtown area of Santa Fe and the Railroad District. Also, I was looking for local charm, and thought the wood-beamed ceiling was cool. I got there after 9:00 PM only to find out that they do not staff the Inn after 8:00 PM. I called the emergency number posted by the front door and Jay walked me through were to find my key codes (there are no keys, just coded locks) and got me into Unit 1. I immediately found small ants……

“The most beautiful, peaceful property. The staff is excellent and I loved the valet parking. We had to make some changes in our travel arrangements and the staff went above and beyond to help us. Also a perfect location in the plaza.”
