The staff was great! Very helpful and had great suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We arrived a few minutes early and she let us go ahead and check in. Can't say enough positive about the staff. The hotel itself has a lot of "character". A little rough around the edges but it was convenient to the parade we wanted to attend. Overall we have certainly had much worse experiences.
Staff was really nice. But the room wasn’t great. It had no heat. Couldn’t take a shower cause it was to cold. We left a day early. I reached out to the hotel for a partial refund but no response
The location was perfect for us. We only live an hour away but we had a wedding to attend in New Orleans. This location was only a block away from the church, which was perfect so we didn't have to drive. The inn was gated and secured. The room was great for a little overnight getaway.
This is a very authentic early New Orleans hotel. The check in staff was pleasant. The rooms are behind a locked gate. The room was clean with pleasant sheets and bed cover. The bathroom was updated with a nice counter. The parking is on the street outside the hotel. There is a bit of noise all night of people coming in and talking. We used a sound machine to block out the noise.

Liked: Staff & service
Pros: convenient walkable location
Budget friendly
Staff is very welcoming
Cons: seen 1 roach in my room
Currently under renovations on the outside of the property
Porch and stairs could use a good power wash
My door handle was jiggled in the middle of the night made me uneasy since I was solo
Bottom line would I stay again only if I had a partner.
The office staff is incredible friendly and gave us great recommendations for nearby food and everything else we were looking for. The room was nice and had everything we needed.

Staff was great. Hotel is old but in decent condition. Walkable to Bourbon Street, but the neighborhoods are sketchy. Lots of homeless. Travel in a group. If you’re just needing a place to stay for the night and a comfortable bed to sleep in come this place is great. No frills
I loved my stay at the Mardi Gras Inn! The staff is sensational and personable. I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. The location was great for me personally. I didnt want to be right in the middle of the hustle and bustle but over the weekend, it did get very lively in the neighborhood. I was able to get on the Le Pass app and purchased the $6 day pass for each day to catch busses and the trolly towards Jackson Square. My room didnt have a window, but this really didn't bother me. My room also didnt have any above head lights that worked. So my shower was a dark experience but again, wasnt really too big of a deal, just inconvenient. I truly did love my stay here, Ill be returning next month!
