Great Stay
We had a great time at this location. Home was being updated and was very comfortable. Neighbors were very respectful and nice. I’d definitely rent this place again.

Nothing short of a surprise
I gave a new host a go and booked before any reviews. The house its self is described correctly. However the home is located in a sketchy neighborhood. We picked this location because it was close to Charlestons concert venue. My sister and I were quickly surprised when we arrived to the neighborhood. There were homeless people in the streets and port a potties on the side of the road next to the rental. We reached out to the host and let him know as two women we were not comfortable staying in the neighborhood. He told us to "Enjoy Charleston!" with no sense of care. I also reached out to VRBO and as long as the home has a door lock you are considered "safe". The host was unwilling to even refund a portion of the stay. We ended up booking a hotel. This may be an "up and coming" neighborhood however it is not currently. Property values may have gone up in this neighborhood, however property values have increased all over the US.

Ehhh not terrible not great
The property itself wasn’t bad but before I book anywhere else I will definitely be doing a google street view. When we arrived the floors were sticky and the fragrance smell was a little strong for me. If there is anyone staying in the apartment next to you it will be heard not terrible but just you can hear them. Also construction was going on next door so don’t plan on sleeping in late.

Could have been worse
Well….honestly I wouldn’t let my child out of the house without one of us going out with her. It was a little shady outside, but no one bothered us at all. The bed was comfortable, and it was very clean buuuuutttt there was something in the walls scratching both nights alllll night long waking us up. Overall…it wasn’t terrible..it definitely could have been worse!
