Bring your children to touch the sharks, starfish and stingrays in the Seaport Aquarium. Go to the adjacent Splash Zone Water Park for its lazy river and exciting water slides. Spend hours on the games and betting machines in Ed’s Funcade and the flashy Gateway 26. Play in the retro arcade complex of Flipper’s Fascination. The boardwalk has a huge selection of dining options, from pizzerias and doughnut places to seafood restaurants and upscale restaurants.

Get around the vast boardwalk via the Sightseer Tram Car, a trackless transportation system that is in service from morning until after midnight. Spread out a blanket on the extensive beach and enjoy a picnic against the soothing sound of the waves lapping the shore.

Wildwood Boardwalk runs along the southeast-facing coast of Wildwood, a town on the peninsula that juts out from the southern end of New Jersey. Drive south from Newark for 145 miles (230 kilometers) to get here in less than 3 hours.
