The good things - Location and friendliness of staff made this a good selection. If you're budget conscious but would still like a comfortable and convenient place to stay then book this hotel.
Areas for improvement - Breakfast is monotonous after a few days of the same menu. The hotel is not in an upkept street but we always felt safe and this never bothered us.

The staff were very helpful from confirming the booking to check out.
Room was as requested during d booking and it was clean and with the amenities described except for d hair dryer which wasnt working! But the beddings were clean and had a fresh smell so it kinda made up for the nonworking dryer.
It was a comfortable stay !

I have stayed at the Pudu Plaza twice. The rooms and bedding are kept clean and are adequately comfortable. The area around the hotel is not particularly upscale but there are some decent little restaurants.
The water pressure in the shower is adequate but not exceptional. As with many cheap hotels the fixtures that hold the shower head up are not properly maintained and since they are made of plastic, tend not to work well. Usually you can jam a piece of plastic bottle or something in the fixture so it stays in place.
The showers also leak water on the floor. Set the shower head so it sprays towards the wall and don't bother laying the bathmat down before you take your shower. Just let the water that leaks from the shower go down the floor drain and then use the bathmat to dry the floor after you have finished your shower.
The concierge named Gary Leow is a really, really nice guy and does his very best to help fix any problems. If you are an anglophone, Gary's English is quite fluent.
On my first trip I had a windowless room which was a bit claustrophobic and the wifi signal wasn't very good. I had to take my laptop to the lobby to get a decent signal from the wifi. On the second visit I had a room with a window and the wifi signal was good.
All in all the hotel has faults but is worth 100 ringgit per night if you want a cheap hotel. It is also right next to the Pudu LRT station (the city's above ground Metro system).

The city’s oldest bus terminal, Pudu Sentral, is found in the central Pudu district of Kuala Lumpur as well as several convenient train and monorail stations. Shopping malls, business centers, a large produce market, and close proximity to the city’s most popular attractions add to Pudu’s appeal. The nearby Royal Selangor Golf Club features championship courses with panoramic city views.
