They also give expedia members ripped dirty beach towels, corner rooms with stained floors , mold in the showers, no drawers in bedroom, as they give priority to members when it comes to restaurant reservations, expedia members dont get the chance to eat at their various restaurants because they are always booked according to the resort. The resort is high on requesting tips for everything.if ypu dont tip dont expect to get drinks on time, angel at the pool bar refused to add chili powder to one of my drinks but to members of the resort it was okay ! I do not recommended this hotel to anyone safe your money for a better more welcoming resort who really care about their customers as a whole including expedia members ! Some minor issues we had were; it was difficult finding a place to get American currency at a fair exchange, would recommend getting any money exchanged before trip. The beach access from the resort was limited, but alright for us. Might not be as great for a young family wanting to spend their time on the beach. Not all the entertainment was family oriented. The music by the pool was quite loud. Looks like they completed a make over but failed to add additional charging outlets in the rooms. The electrical outlet that were located were being used by lamps. outlets and switches were either falling apart or simply broken. Property did not have a children's swimming pool area per sea. It's an older property but very well maintained. Food was to be desired I would give the food a poor rating with very limited choices to make despite it being a buffet style. There is not one quiet spot in the entire resort. There are not enough chairs by the pools so we did not have a place to sit after swimming. the view from the beach is construction concrete slaps. The property felt overbooked — there was rarely space in the lounge, by the pool, or on the beach. Unfortunately, the beach itself was mostly not swimmable, slippery stones and the only swimmable area was covered with seaweed that had an unpleasant smell. Customer service was not attentive or responsive to what was happening on the property. There is ongoing construction, which makes the environment very noisy. I specifically booked this vacation to escape noise and relax, but even in the room near the pool I could clearly hear construction and sounds from surrounding rooms. The sound insulation is very poor — you can hear everything, even chairs moving next door. I have stayed at another Catalonia hotel before and had a great experience, so I expected the same level of comfort and service. Sadly, this location did not meet those expectations. There was a great variety, everything tasted fresh, and it was wonderful not having to worry about extra costs while still enjoying high-quality meals and drinks. The amenities truly completed the experience. We had the do not disturb sign up and a staff member came into the room anyways. We didnt ask for our room to be cleaned another day and they still came in and left a note saying they couldnt clean our room as we left electronics out. Also you can only book the restaurants once you get there so we didn"t get to try many. Only got 3 out of the 8 nights we were there. Some of the staff were a bit rude others very very kind. We asked when we arrived for a late check out were told to come back closer to the end of our stay. That we could for an extra charge. I did come back and ask they said yo come back the morning we were leaving. I went down at 7 am and was told they didnt do that and we needed to check out at 12 noon. So wasn't super happy with that.
