“Chez Waffle has a pretty back lounge area with view of the water and fish swimming into the inlet. The condition of the rooms is a bit dated. The prices of food on the high side. It is extremely quiet in this gated community. If you want lots to do, you are isolated. I did diviving and day trips every day, so spend little time at the hotel (only evenings). The local busses that run between Playa an d Tulum are excellent. Very cheap! Overall, enjoyed my stay and would do this again. I recommend……

“No beach to walk or ocean to swim in. The staff tells you everything you want hear and then they don’t do anything thing they said they would do. Paid for “VIP” and definitely was not shown that. Also!! The Big one they told me on 2 different days that we did not pay. I had to argue with them for about an hour even with proof. “The hotel and staff were amazing our entire experience was great except for our tub on our sky terrace did not work, we had called twice throughout our stay, and it wasn’t fix ;( when we voiced our concerns we were told there was no record of the calls;( Everything else was great all the restaurant and bar staff were amazing! They are friendly and work so hard, and pay attention it every detail. Top notch service! Anything you asked for they delivered . ”

“Overall not a bad place to stay for the price you pay. The location is across the street from the sea, but NOT on the sea. In Cozumel in general, in order to get in the water you either have to pay at a beach club (20$ entry fee) or find some suspicious other area that doesn’t have an entry fee. Therefore, choosing a hotel with beach/sea access would be a better choice if that’s what you plan to do in Cozumel. The room was clean. The balcony was okay, the view is the doors to other hotel rooms……
