Outside of Charleston is the Caw Caw Nature Preserve. It was a rice plantation that is now open to the public with walking trails, benches, and an information center. There is an abundance of wildlife including alligators, snakes, and birds. We did not see any gators when we were there but we did see a few snakes and a ton of birds! Entrance to the park is either free or a dollar USD. Great place to explore!

"Such a great place to stay outside of Charleston. Far enough from the hustle and traffic of the city but still close enough to explore when we wanted to! And it’s a plus they are dog friendly :) very clean and the perfect size. Thank you!"

"Mold was on tent, pine straw was covering porch and walkway was overgrown with weeds. Cooler of provided ice had leaves in it. Grass was in the bed. Furniture was worn. Was told not to plug up refrigerator because we wouldn’t need it. Golf cart only had a little gas and gas cans were empty. Extremely disappointed. First bad experience with VRBO after many stays elsewhere."

" I went on my first trip to Charleston since my husband passed so I was alone.I am a Employee of IHG and usually stay at one of their places with my discount but wanted to be in a place that I felt was a treat for me.And it was.Everyone was so Friendly.I would sit at the pool or even the bar at night and not feel alone.Loved the place.If I had one complaint it would only be that the shower floor was slippery when it was wet.Would definetly stay again when I can afford it.My son lives there so I do go a few times a year.Wonderful trip.I would highly recommend. "

Quick overnight trip.

"We only had 24 hours in Charleston so we were out exploring most of the time and did not take advantage of the buffet dinner and complimentary drinks but this is an amazing deal. We did finish our night in the pool which was great. We were able to have our dog with us at the hotel which was a huge plus. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and facilities are exceptionally clean. Highly recommend this hotel. "
