"My wife and I stayed here for an overnight following a beautiful day at the Norwich Spa. We were celebrating our recent wedding and wanted a mini-moon getaway. First of all, the lobby is gorgeous. The Biltmore’s grandeur is preserved and accented with the Graduate artsy-funky kitsch.
We stayed in a King suite. The hallways and doors of the old Biltmore have been maintained, and it truly feels like you are stepping back in time. Upon entering the room, it is a colorful delight for sure. Beautiful shell light fixture in the middle of the sitting area, and wall paper featuring books with funky little Rhode Island themes and titles. The suite is spacious. French doors separate the sitting area from the bedroom. The bedroom area reminded me of being in the Godfather with its leather headboard, dark paneling. The bed was comfortable. Two tvs in the suite.
Here’s where it fell short…the suite was FREEZING. No matter how we adjusted the thermostat, it never got warmer. We requested extra blankets which took 50 minutes to receive. The overnight was rough because of the temperature. Though not a huge problem for us, there was also the issue of a wedding on the 17th floor which went on late into the night and was quite loud.
I can’t say we would not return, but a perfect stay was quite impacted by a non functional thermostat. Her."
