"The security guard was extremely rude to my boyfriend asking him why he was there. Once he showed his room key the security guard said that doesn’t mean anything and stated people like him don’t belong here "

"Honestly i was very anxious for my stay, i had seen that there were bad reviews but only after the fact that i already made reservations, surprisingly i had an awesome time, the manager was super nice and welcoming as well as all of the other employees, she did let me know of the warm water not working in the building i was staying in, none the less i wanted to stay in the room so id have a kitchen, the room exceeded my expectations, it was very clean, they had utensils, dish ware and cooking ware. the private water front was so beautiful especially at night. the balcony was a definite plus too. they did have complimentary breakfast with items like juice, coffee, cereal, breakfast bars and a few other things. my stay was very affordable. Although it’s mid summer in california the weather was perfect, unfortunately there was no ac, and as a person who gets very hot easily, i would say the ac was not needed, i’ll definitely be returning and would recommend checking this place out for your next stay up in big bear. there were many fun activities that i was able to do in my 2 night stay, there are many things that are at walking distance or a very short car ride away, id recommend going to the alpine slide, going out for a kayaking experience, and/or checking out a fun spot called gold rush mining adventure."

"From the outside, this place looks like many of the other little hotels in the area where when you walk into your room, and it’s mountain kitch, with bears and dark wood, and deer heads , etct. But this place is different, the rooms are beautiful. It’s obvious they’ve been recently renovated. They’re large and fresh and open. Huge TV great sound. Fridge freezer microwave. That was a pretty kick ass room."

"Check in was quick, the rooms are perfectly what you would expect in a mountain town, clean, great views, everything is walking distance. This is right by the village and there was so much to do, so many shops, places to eat, places to drink, tattoo shops, we did it all. "
