"The Glen Cove Hotel is a great place to stay! The deck rooms have wonderful views of Onset Bay, and it’s convenient to the beach and several restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel have some of the best food I’ve ever eaten!
Some travelers might be turned off by the older elements—they till use old-fashioned keys instead of electronic locks, and the building is a converted historic house, so it doesn’t have the same updates that a chain would. But it’s very quaint and charming, and the rooms are quite comfortable!"

"My extended in-law family stayed in this rental for a long weekend. We loved:The location. 2 blocks to Onset beach. A few blocks to adorable Onset downtown. Lovely neighbor filled with kind folks. The backyard “oasis.” We read on the lounge chairs, played wiffle ball and cornhole, hung around the gas firepit, and ate family style on the huge deck table. The kitchen was stocked with all the equipment to grills, chop, cook and serve our group of 11 pple. It fit 3-5 people trying to help!The little amenities, board games, chess, 2 minifridges, Kuerig with cups, paper napkins, back pack style beach chairs, the bird feeders, and so on.We did not like:The house felt like a work-in-progress. Many rooms have incomplete trim, painting, small missing pieces of flooring, unpatched holes, particleboard in lieu of flooring, chipping paint, etc.We did not identify a smoke detector on the first floor.There were 2 electric outlets without covers (one inside the house and one outside).One room with several outlets not working. Limited windows that could open on the second floor, and screens missing from the windows that could open. There was paint that was chipping on window sills accessible from the deck. If my kids were younger, this would have concerned me.Understand the rentals limitations before booking. "
"What a wonderful place to stay! It was conveniently located across the street from the beach, marina and cruises, near a number of local restaurants, and across the street from the local park. The accommodations were clean and well appointed. Communications were very good and Carolyn was extremely responsive to any questions we had. The check in and check out process was easy. The local park hosted live music during our stay (Beatles tribute band) as well as a large all day festival a few days later complete with food trucks, vendors and live music. The on site parking proved to be essential, especially the day of the festival. We enjoyed walking in the morning to get our coffee and saving room for ice cream after dinner at one of the local ice cream shops. We would definitely book again if staying in the area."
