“Friendly family run hotel. Perhaps a little dated but the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. And a decent shower Staff were very friendly and helpful . The hotel is just a five minute walk across fields from Trevone beach and coast path so ideally located for what we wanted. Padstow is walkable. We took the longer coastal route, 6 to 8 miles depending which path you take. Coming back, we took the shorter 2 mile-route across the fields. We stayed in Trevone for the evening to eat at the……

“We ended up here by accident after being double booked at another (unrelated) hotel. We were made to feel so welcome and looked after that we quickly forgot about the ordeal from the night before ! “This hotel appeared to have been fairly recently refurbished to a high standard although sound insulation between rooms could be improved. Our room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. “The hotel, staff, restaurant and location are excellent However the rooms facing the lane are extremely noisy... we were woken up at 7.30am by loud truck deliveries and garbage trucks... and late at night, the hotel staff would gather and talk loudly just below the hotel room windows. Also, the hotel has no parking, so you either have to be lucky and get a spot on the street in front of the hotel, or pay to park in the lot up the hill. Trevone Bay beach, Padstow, North Cornwall is located to the south of Trevose Head and to the north of Harlyn Bay. one of only eight beaches that have received the award in Cornwall. This gently shelving, sandy beach is surrounded by cliffs and situated in an area of great geological interest The beach has golden sand and little alcoves to sit and watch away the day The cliffs to the north east of the beach provide fantastic walks and views to Hawkers Cove, the Camel Estuary and beyond. The cliff has a large blowhole as well, which appears on top of the cliff, so beware of getting too close to the edge if you're not good with heights
