The resort is very close to a nice market where you can buy soda, sunscreen, food, etc. It's a 5 minute walk. The resort is also close enough to walk to a number of restaurants. Since taxis are extremely expensive, being able to walk to restaurants is a huge plus. My room was a junior oceanfront suite with a king bed. I grew up in NYC - I know roaches! Roached tend to thrive in unkept areas where there are residual foods.
