“Good basic house just outside the town of Baddeck. Not really walkable into downtown, but just a five-minute drive with plenty of parking. Open living area, but just a little cramped. Good breeze with windows open to cool down the house on a warm summer day. Would stay again.”

“We loved our stay here and Joanne, the property manager was great. Responsive to all of our needs and a good communicator. It was a great home base for our week at Cape Breton. The house was well equipped and had lots of places for our group of 3 couples to relax. It was a beautiful private setting with great views. ”

“Amazing home situated in a very peaceful and serene setting. We absolutely loved the views from the private beach area. The large deck was a perfect setting for enjoying meals when we werent out taking in all the sights of Cape Breton. Loved it!”

“This house sits in the middle of a hayfield, set 500’ or so back from the road. Very quiet, and a secure place to let the dogs play. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, and well-equipped, including heat-pump a/c and an excellent washer/dryer in the basement. The Mabou area is always a treat: grocery, gas station and the Red Shoe Pub (very nice restaurant and music venue) all 5 minutes away. Mabou Mines sandy beach 10 minutes away. “We loved staying in the Forest Lake House! Michael and Winnie were gracious hosts and very welcoming. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed kayaking, the canoe and roasting marshmallows over the fire in front of the house overlooking Lake Ainslie. A true gem! ”
