Family vacation

Excellent home for large family vacation. Accommodated 10 comfortably. Close to beach access. This was our first visit to Carolina Beach and we were very pleased with the location and amenities. Host was quick to respond.

Bliss at the beach!

Great location for us to spend the weekend with our kids and grandchildren. Just a short walk to the beach and easy access to Wilmington.

Family Beach Reunion

We had 11 family members ranging in ages from 2 to 70. Everyone was very comfortable. We used the porch for working and the living room for hanging out. The house has 5G. One night, we had 8 additional family members over for dinner from Cape Fear Boil (highly recommend). Plenty of places to sit. Beach access is super close and about three blocks to the Tiki Bar.

Annual Memorial Day Getaway

The rooms were not as clean as I like but were just okay. We had s really good time though so that issue didn’t pose a big problem for us. I would probably look for something not as dated for any future visits.

Girls’ Beach Trip

We loved our stay at Blue Bliss. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It Isn’t on the beach, but just a short walk. If I needed anything, they replied to a text right away. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.

Perfect location. Would stay here again.

This place was clean and comfortable. The best part about it is the location: just a short walk to beach access. The kitchen could use more supplies for cooking and eating so that dishes don’t need to be done so often. Also, the basement rooms could use some upgrades to bring them up to par with the rest of the house. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Annual Beach Trip

This property was great for a multi family visit. This property had even bedrooms for our adult children and their spouses. Many other nearby properties either didn't have enough bedrooms or the bedrooms had twin/bunkbeds which did not work for our group. The living room and kitchen had plenty of space for all of us to gather. Short walk to beach access!

Accurate representation of the property. We all fit comfortably. Wish we could have gotten into the property a little earlier as we were coming from a long distance and arriving at various times throughout the day, but other than that it was a very enjoyable weekend.

Close to beach

We loved the layout. We had 3 families so the 3 floors were ideal layout. We had ant and cockroach problems while there, but the location was great. The decking on the very top deck has loose floorboards, and I wish there was more dish wear. If you have a large family bring plastic wear and paper bowls/plates.

Cleanliness could be a lot better!

I expected more for home to be clean considering what we paid for cleaning. A lot of wear and Tate. Refrigerator ice maker was nasty. Mattress protector was stained. Kitchen cabinet had to be fixed. Whoever they hire to clean they don’t do. Good job. Bowls in cabinet had black spots on them(mold). Furniture spotted for stuns. Beautiful home but need. Little Tlc

Great family vacation

We just finished a week's stay for our family vacation and it was wonderful. Great access to the ocean and easy bike ride to the boardwalk. Loved the outdoor shower and appreciated the stocked items in the kitchen like foil, garbage bags, salt and pepper etc. Our only complaints were the beds - I think it's definitely time to replace mattresses!! Very loud, squeaky, and not very comfy. Also, the cushions outside are pretty stained and could use an update. Otherwise, everything was great! Would love to return after a trip to Mattress Firm, haha!

Really, really good…. almost great

I’m not one of those people who just throw out all five star ratings all the time. This place gets really close. It comfortably fit 10 people. The location a block off the beach was super easy. It's far enough from the hubbub on the pier to be quiet at night but close enough that a quick bike ride gets you there. Management was really responsive and kind with our questions and concerns. I would bring the following if you were going to rent this property: your own pillows (not very comfortable), a Brita (that’s not the property owners fault it’s just the water taste metallic.) and some more cooking supplies if you’re a cooker family. The patio furniture could use an upgrade but we certainly enjoyed our time out there post beach. I would rent this place again for sure.

great location

Close to the beach access and overall nice property that met our needs. Outdoor shower was great for rinsing off sand. Beach chairs and umbrellas came in handy. Lots of bedrooms and space for everyone. Exactly what you want and expect when renting this type of home for a beach vacation. The cons were the beds were not comfortable, old and creaky in all rooms but the primary upstairs. Missing some of the essentials you expect to find such as shower soap. In comparison, members of our family rented the same size house a few doors away and their unit was much better equipped , higher quality furnishings and condition. We also had to do more to check-out of the unit, under the penalty of fines, than I have experienced at other VRBOs.
