"This place was great. We were pretty confused on arrival but I just called the number that had been emailed to me earlier in the week and they were very fast about getting us the info to check in. Parking was easy and secure. Accessing the apartment was so easy and although the place is older, it is very well kept up. There were pillow options and very nice touches like toiletries and easy access to the Internet. I was impressed with this place. "

![Originally meant to be the president's residence, dictator Porfirio Diaz ordered the construction of this building, it was delayed multiple times but in the meantime  Diaz's government was overthrown by the war named Mexican Revolution. In time the project was reactivated but now as a monument honoring said war. If you visit, make sure to stay after sunset. "I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We had a suite which was a great size with a comfortable bed and a really powerful shower. Cleaning was excellent with housekeeping normally working around your timings and not necessarily theirs. Checking in and out was also easy with the hotel in a good location lots of nearby bars, restaurants and the metro. There is also a really well equipped gym. The only negatives for me was the aircon which was a little too cold but I couldn’t seem to change it and I thought the coffee place in reception was a little expensive. It’s a shame about the pool too as it was on the shade for most of the afternoon and the day we sat out embarrassing they laid out tables for lunch overlooking the pool so as we lay on the loungers there were lots of people just staring at us. Felt a little odd. "

"Hotel Catedral in Mexico City is very centralised. It is situated behind the beautiful Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral church. The hotel is beside the Templo Mayor Museum. Travelling to the city centre is within walking distance. Transportation is readily almost everywhere. You can catch a taxi easily. Hotel Catedral is beautiful from the interior, clean and safe to stay."
