"Clean wonderful room, small fridge restocked w soda, chips and juice. Also a couple of beers but we don’t drink…. Helpful staff and check out 1 pm which was perfect .. we were able to care for our laundry, the hotel staff sent it out and received if for us… everything was perfect except for the restaurant, the restaurant definitely gets 2 stars,,, we visited 3 times hoping it would be get better but the last time we arrived at 8am and were there 90 minutes due to common mistakes, always warm to cool coffee never hot, we were 6 adults,,, wrong order received that belonged to a different table , they took that food back and while bringing our order i was specific to over med eggs, they brought sunny side up, took back to correct to over med eggs but never brought the corrected eggs to me… They charged us for it and while talking to all the workers they realized they had not delivered the order"

Umbral, a Curio Collection by Hilton - Historical Hotel

8/10 Good
"As a first time traveler to Mexico City, I enjoyed the Umbral hotel property. My issues were that most rooms don’t have an external window unless you purchase a suite- I don’t think this was made clear. While this is a nice hotel, the area it is in is less than ideal- there were constant road closures and protests (out of the control of the hotel) but it caused disruptions to our trip. If it is your first time in CDMX and you’re looking to explore on foot, stay in Condesa or Roma Norte."
