“We love the location of the property, and the history. After the hurricane, a lot has been upgraded on the property, including the ground level rooms. That being said, the 2nd floor (where we were) needs a lot of upgrades...floors, paint, fixtures. That being said, the room was clean , new bedding and great historic area...and the price reflected it. Lovely, low key area . Would we stay again, yes....try to get a room downstairs ...if you can. Some simply things would really help...paint on……

“My only complaints center around air conditioning. The window unit was not strong enough to cool down the room quickly nor effectively, leading to my 2nd thing that bothers me. When we opened the door to our room at 9pm it was stifling hot, it took hours to even slightly cool down. I don't understand why you wouldn't go in earlier in the day at least and turn the unit on. That said, room was clean and the check in lady was very friendly.”

“This place has no hot water it gets lukewarm at best, there was some drunk hanging out all night in the room next to me out in the hall nobody would do anything about, the hot tub did not work the pool was nasty the breakfast if you could call it that was corn flakes and milk out of my damn jug stay away from this place I might have got bed bugs”

“Spacious and quiet room except there was a group of people being loud and annoying outside in the middle of the night. The AC was powerful yet quiet. There were also like 10 fruit flies in our room. A few of the small towels were yellow and had dust but the big ones were fine. Plenty of parking spots. Breakfast was not bad. No elevator.”

“Terrible. Ended up spending another $1,600 last minute to stay elsewhere. This is not an air bnb or anything similar. It’s is one child size bedroom in a rude old lady’s house. It is intentional false advertising. The “shared bathroom” clause is supposed to have you assume you will be sharing the place with the elderly woman that lives there and whatever guests she has in another room. She called us that day and corrected our grammar and was very rude. Upon arrival, we walked past a living area……

“This is the perfect place to relax while enjoying the Suwannee River. A Boaters, fishermen, or hunters paradise, with all the basics, in a rustic setting.
A great restaurant right next door puts the frosting on the Cake. The Suwannee River Cruise gives you extremely interesting insight into the history of the river, and views of manatees, alligators, otters and so much morel.”
