“We’ve stayed multiple places in the area and this was the BEST! We loved the woods and the hosts were wonderful. Felt very safe, secluded and taken care of. The place is very unique with plenty of space. There are trundle beds so the kids could sleep downstairs with the tv. Couldn’t have asked for a better place - very clean! Thank you so much!!”

“Lovely cabin. Had everything we needed. It was nice that it seemed remote but you could get to places you wanted to see/visit within a 20-30 minute drive.”

“Check in was easy. The place was very clean and well stocked. The property has a nice beach area. I don’t realize how small space was. It is on a very busy road and other tenants were out in parking lot talking and could be heard inside along with loud bass cars after 11pm. Also noted smell of recreational substance waffling in the bungalow. Not really ideal environment for children as they struggled to sleep with all the noise. We were in number 1 so closest to road. ”

“We had our girls trip and the place was absolutely beautiful, exactly what we was looking for. The host was very accommodating and was blowing off the seats by the fire pit for us when we arrived. He was a very courteous host and they had a lot of extra amenities available. ”

The location was perfect for our adventures to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island. Would love to return someday!”

“Our stay at Shadowland Lodge was perfect for our family and small dog. The lodge was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The running river beside the lodge was a favorite spot—especially for our dog who couldn’t get enough of it. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.”
