“I have been in this area a lot and never gave any attention to the hotel. I am moving out of my apartment that is a few miles away and did not like the look or reputation of several hotels in the area. I did book another cheaper hotel in the area. My wive was very uncomfortable with what she had heard, and possibly saw in the parking lot. When we got to our room, she really did not feel save or comfortable. I looked on Expedia and found the Hampton very close and with a good price. After we……

“Soap dispensers were empty. I requested replacement and never received one. Asked the second time the next day and the receptionist brought it to me and there were no other supporting staff to assist her. Only one waiter in the restaurant. Menu is not great either.”

“Great old building in design and common area furnishings are appropriate with plenty of character. As for the room: Sure, the building is old and one doesn't expect a big room, but ours was too small; there was about one foot of space on two sides of the bed. Space to leave one suitcase open, but not two. Bathroom was small, as was the sink. The major problem in the room, though, was the owner's insistence on a period bed that required one to pole vault into it. There was a two-step stair left……

“I and my colleague, We had a great stay at Hampton Inn Detroit/Auburn Hills-North. The breakfast was good — omelettes, sausage, potatoes, bagels , DIY waffles, with some healthy options available too. The staff were always friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. The location is perfect — just next to the outlet, and it’s very convenient for dining and shopping. Highly recommend this hotel!”

“I made a last minute booking for a 2 night stay here and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is relatively new so I was immediately relieved as I have allergies and can’t often tolerate some of the older hotels. The front desk employee Ciara was lovely and efficient. She was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I lost my room key while running around and she remembered me immediately and easily able to set me up with a new one.”
