“Love the views and outdoor facilities ”

“We didn’t stay for too long just a quick overnight, but the walls are pretty thin so we could hear lots of activity next-door. The bed was comfortable for a quick easy no-frills stay great place for a great price.”

“The actual beds and breakfast at this hotel are very good! The staff is nice and helpful with requested towels and blankets. It is affordable and conveniently located in a beautiful region of the state. Unfortunately, the property also shows many signs of age and dilapidation. In our room, the curtains were torn, the carpets felt, and in places, looked dirty and worn. And the bathroom was need of several minor repairs, the doors stuck and needed paint. It could be cleaner. “We had an amazing stay at Mont Rest! Hearing the history from Chris (the owner) was an added treat! So crazy to see how she saved the property not once, but twice! The staff was exceptional. The breakfast was incredible. I loved that there wasn't a huge push to get people checked out. Our room was lovely and well appointed! We cannot wait to schedule another long weekend in Bellevue!”

“Things were all older and dated, but everything was clean. Bedsheets were so old they were nubby. Bathroom was fine with very soft water. Included breakfast was marginal, with pop tarts and weak coffee. It was interesting having a busy bar in the midst of the building, adding character. It is also a gathering place for both Harley bikers and golfers for the adjacent course; quite a contrast. It's the only place around, so if we go to another concert in Mt.Carroll, we'll probably stay again.”

“Needs updating. The rooms rug was torn, couldn’t use the TV. Couldn’t even watch the morning news. The air conditioner was loud and couldn’t find a switch or way to turn on lights by the nightstand.”
