“Swimming in the river was the best part of the trip. Bring your water shoes; there are rocks and I almost lost my sandals three times . Bring an extra fan for the tent. If you are in a tent; bring a portable umbrella for the outside. Our bench was not covered by the trees most of the day and the sun was strong. It is hot in the tent during the summer; that’s when you go swimming or hiking during the day. We recommend going to riverfront park trail; it’s an easy hike 20 mins drive from……

“Calderwod was lke being home while away in a cool place. The inn is classic, the folks - in particular Kiki, the manager - were more than helpful and friendly. So many little hidden places to sit and enjoy. Breakfast was as good as advertised. And just close enough to the plaza and town.”

“Went in with excitement to experience Travel & Leisures Best Luxury Resort in CA. From check-in to check-out the experience was 3 star or just OK. As a Marriott Ambassador Elite, I have low expectations for hotel and resort stays so this one was a real opportunity to WOW. Upon arrival the room was not ready (3:30p) which is because check-in was 4p (understandable). At 4p room not ready. After checking with the desk three more times, received keys well after 4:30p. Resort did comp drinks while……

“Amazing stay! We were here for work and it was quite a treat!! Room was spacious with high end amenities from the robe to the slippers and linens! Balcony view of their vineyard was lovely and serene - I enjoyed resting here with a glass of wine. Dinner and breakfast at their restaurant was delicious as well. I’d love to return but for fun next time as there’s so much to experience!”
