Our room had been fully renovated and was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The bar area has been completely updated and has a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. “We received such a warm welcome at The Boars Head. It felt like everything in the room was really high spec. Loved that we had a stocked fridge (you had to pay for most items, though!) with free milk and a free dram each, too! A espresso machine with good choice of coffees and tea bags. The decor was beautiful, the shower was powerful. The toiletries smelt wonderful - always good to get conditioner supplied, too - A marker of a good quality hotel, in my opinion! “Nancy and Scott were very very accommodating, especially as we fell foul of a Calmac glitch which resulted in our being hours behind schedule. We needed to resolve all sorts of things en route by email & text. It was such a relief to arrive to a lovely welcome after a hard day’s slog from the Outer Hebrides. The room was great, well equipped and very comfortable. The bed was so, so comfortable. Then breakfast was not only well presented but also delicious. This is one to return to - or not……
