“Property was close enough to walk to the beach. Public free shuttle was nice. Parking garage available for a fee. Pool and hot tub great. Bed comfortable. No food on site except vending machine for which I was grateful for! Free towels and beach chair to borrow. Staff very helpful but wish they had more brochures and maps etc. The room was lacking some key items. No table and chair in the room to do computer work or in the lobby. No toaster not even one to loan out. No washer or dryer which……

“The Tides Hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the art plaza. We found there was no need for a shuttle. The exterior is attractive and well maintained. Unfortunately, the guest rooms look as though they haven’t been updated since the 1970s. They have added the newer large soap dispensers instead of the small individual bottles, which is at least one step toward modernization. For a hotel charging around $500 a night, the rooms really need some attention. They could……
