“This was the ideal staycation of all staycation. I felt the slightest twinge of guilt having the place all to ourselves on the weekend before it all gets incredibly busy, but I got over that real quick. Sorry, not sorry, we lucked out. “very comfy bed, very good water pressure, clean shower, clean overall but dingy and needs a little TLC. Didn’t like the sink outside the bathroom. Only One hand towel! The refrigerator made a high pitch hum. The bathroom fan was ridiculously ear splitting loud. Forgot to put DND sign on door the first day and came back to find bed made and new towels. Fine i guess but really thought after Covid that didn’t happen anymore anywhere. Next morning cleaning lady knocked at 830 am! Even after we said……

We had enjoyable conversations with the restaurant manager (and learned of her family’s long history in the community) as well as the staff members - Maggie, Abbie and Graham. “The room was great, with a separate siting room and a big sofa to sit . the hotel is right in the middle of town and suoer dog friendly. Staff were helpful and friendly. The only drawback is the breakfast. No fruit or healthier options, even the oatmeal had maple syrup flavoring. The bagels ended up being our choice. Good coffee and free water. Parking is free. Overall we would rate it highly and return.”
