“Perfect location to stay for an event at the Valcour Inn. Best suited for 1 couple with a child or 2. Tight fit for 2 couples - consider the larger house.If bringing a dog - do let them know in advance (I didn’t realize they needed to be notified in advance of the dog as the post said pet friendly.)Also, expect drop-bys from the owner with his children as you checkin and an hour before you checkout. High-touch hosts. ”

“The Hungry Trout Resort is a classic place to stay if you are interested in fishing the Ausable River. Very convenient with private access to the river. The fly shop on premises is excellent with great guides! The Pub was great in years past but is closed now. I really hope it reopens. The upscale restaurant is very nice with great views of the falls. Overall a solid place to stay without the hustle of staying in Lake Placid but close enough to go there for dinner.”

“We decided to go to the Vermont Reneissance Fair this year and stayed at Spark. What a great place. Very updated,continental breakfas in the morning was perfect,and the room was quite large. We really enjoyed the lackk of carpeting in the room. The vinyl plank flooring was refreshing to see. I woul recommend a stay here if you are in the area.”
