“Location is verry central to all the lovely things that Rye has to offer - the view from our room (at the top of the hotel) was spectacular. Although the room was top floor, and the temperature was hot, the fan supplied did a good job of keeping the room cool. We met two different members of staff who went above and beyond to help us and this made the stay. There are some rooms that have been renovated and other areas, (the hallway and stairs) that are yet to be done and appear to look tired……

“The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and very well appointed, parking was in a car park right outside the hotel so very easy, breakfast was delicious and well cooked. We loved it all so much that we will be going back some time next year. ”

“Lovely hotel great good in the restaurant. Had to wait ages for our dessert I think they forgot. Nothing around nearest pub is a good 20 minute walk away. Nice gardens to sit in and have a drink at the hotel. Dog friendly too”

“Stayed one night for a special occasion. Arrived to an empty reception and waited to be let in by the staff who says he's living there. Room was tired and needed a deep clean — springy noisy bed, dust, cobwebs and spiders. Worst part: a huge dog barking and running around directly above us all night and from 7am, which cost us our sleep and our breakfast. Asked at check-out whose dog it was and was told possibly a guest's — then watched the check-in staff member walk a huge dog upstairs to the……
