“Very welcoming host that was enthusiastic throughout about having us stay at the historic El Primero Hotel and in the morning gave us a tour of the lovely and healthy indoor plants they had propagated as well as the voluminous physical guest check in books that had guest notes, cards, and currencies from every end of the globe. My girlfriend and I very much enjoyed our stay although we wished it had been on better terms (water line shut off at our house). Would recommend to others. ”

“Wonderful stay for our spring break in San Diego. This property is centrally located to everything we wanted to do... the zoo, sea world, Coronado, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, etc. Never more than a 20 min drive (as long as you don't hit traffic times). Home was comfortable and had everything we needed. My teens loved the roof even though the igloo was down due to a wide storm. Would for sure recommend! ”

“The garden cottage was inviting, clean, and comfortable. I love the modern look, the beautiful garden in the back, and the very close accessible highway. Barb is by far the best host that I have ever had with VRBO. Thanks for having us, we will surely stay at the garden cottage again the next time we are in town!”

“As stated in other reviews, the apartment is well maintained and sparkling clean. It is obvious the owner, who lives upstairs, is well invested in their guest’s experience. Although this is a basement apartment, there is plenty of natural light. There are no stairs to the apartment, which may be a plus to any older folks, such as myself.Communication with the owner was excellent.”

“The best thing about this property is the amazing host! Scott helped us with a small glitch when we arrived and was incredibly responsive. He also stocked the kitchen with coffee so that our mornings were relaxed and perfect! Can’t say enough good things about this host and his lovely property.”

“We chose this property as it is close to our daughter and son-in-law. It was exactly as described, a perfect place to tuck in for the night and start the day with an excellent selection of teas (thank you). Very clean. Bed was quite comfortable, and the sofa bed was more comfortable than most. Bathroom was very clean and bright with great water pressure/temp. Location is optimal for university proximity and La Mesa is close by. We will definitely look to stay here again.”

“This spot has everything. Fridge, freezer, well appointed kitchen. Well cared for. View. The Owners were very communicative and helpful. You definitely want to stay here!If I had any tip for future vrbo’ers it would be this place can be a bit hard to find. Had to drive the maze a few times to remember it. But the owners were helpful in that also, leaving a video guide to help, and even walking me in the first night”
