“The noise level is … terrible here. Although a secondary road, it’s used by 18 wheelers…. All night long. Our AC window unit was quite loud (a mixed blessing/deterrent) but not very productive in cooling the room. The sun rises at 5am… and you will know it because it BLASTS into the room with minimal light filtering. “We had a wonderful stay at the Old Lantern Inn in Charlotte VT. Our room was large with a king and a twin bed and views of Lake Champlain. The inn was very quiet and clean. We can’t say enough about the innkeeper Lisa; she went above and beyond to ensure that not only were our needs met, but our expectations exceeded. Continental breakfast is modest but tasty.
