Uptown Cheap Vacations

I would strongly caution anyone considering this property. My friends and I booked it while traveling from out of town to celebrate my upcoming wedding. At first glance, the unit appeared clean because the bed was made and towels were provided. However, after noticing dirt on the floor and sweeping, we found broken glass. Later, my godmother stepped on the bedroom carpet and discovered it was wet. There was a large yellow stain, and when we lifted the bed, we found what appeared to be urine on both the carpet underneath and the mattress. The odor strongly suggested it was urine. There was also another yellow stain on the opposite side of the bed. As we inspected further, we found a spilled plastic shot glass in the bedroom, a full 99 Bananas shooter and tissues inside the pullout couch, and additional broken glass. It was obvious the unit had not been properly cleaned. I immediately contacted the host and was told they would try to send a cleaner. While we were at an event, I received multiple updates that they could not reach the cleaner. Despite explaining that the unit was not sanitary or suitable to stay in, I was ultimately told there were no alternative accommodations available. Thankfully, friends in the area let us stay with them. Otherwise, we would have been left without a safe place to sleep. This was an extremely unfortunate experience and, based on the cleanliness issues and lack of a resolution, I cannot recommend staying here.

Very clean; way more spacious for family of 4 than a hotel room (plus there was an in-unit washer/dryer!); quiet; super convenient for walking to see the Reds play. Parking in the lot across the street was easy and not expensive. My key feedback is that a pool was part of our criteria for picking a place to stay with our kids and while there is a pool on site, it wasn’t available for use while we were there. A very minor additional note: the shades were not very good—it was quite bright in the bedrooms early in the morning, which meant that our kids were up early.

Great location, cute place, had everything we needed. Would stay again!

Great hotel, we had 2 rooms and we spent 3 nights. Only advise is to make reservations if you want to eat at restaurant, went to eat breakfast on a Sunday morning with 5 people and did not have availability till 1pm.

Overall, not a place I would take a female friend to. It's barely good enough for me to sleep in and go to the event. I think I will spend a little extra money and go to better hotels next year.
