"Our stay was nothing short of exceptional! The hotel is an historic building with loads of character, and even though it was an older building, it did NOT have a rundown feeling. As you enter the main lobby, you are greeted by friendly staff. Kazzandra at the front desk greeted us and we immediately felt welcome. The room was clean and well furnished. The bed was too firm for our liking, and we mentioned that to Kazzandra. Unfortunately, they were booked full and could not move us to another room. Later that day however, she caught up to us and offered a mattress topper and the staff had that on our bed when we came back from sightseeing. The remainder of the nights were wonderful. Their breakfast is also top notch. Real scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, fresh fruit and a variety of other choices included with the stay. The pool was small but nice, and even though they were booked full, we often had it to ourselves or shared it with only one or 2 other guests. There are so many quaint little things that made our stay enjoyable there isn’t space for me to mention them all. You’ll have to discover them for yourself. 5-star feel without the 5-star price tag! A must stay, and we will certainly be back!"
