“It was such a fantastic hotel and staycation with my BFF visiting from Chicago for my 60th. The only things that are odd is if you go to the pool and pool bar you are not allowed to bring any food or water in there. That was fine and not sure what they for families with kids and their snacks so it could be different. You also can't charge anything to your room so bring your CC to the pool. Other than that it was such an AMAZING hotel and if you are there on a Sunday make sure to go to the pool……

“I recently stayed at Staybridge Suites St. Petersburg Downtown and had a disappointing experience. Check in was at 4 pm, but when we arrived at 4:10, one of our two rooms was still not ready. No one informed us when it became available, we had to follow up ourselves. The staff overall were rude and unhelpful. One room faced the highway, making it very noisy at night, and the smoke alarm kept beeping. Calls to the front desk went unanswered. The next day, we were told room service required 24……

“My second time staying at this centralized hotel near amazing restaurants, sights, pier and museums. ”

“While the rooms were very quiet and the hotel was only a few blocks from the pier the parking was a joke. We could not pull in to check in my sister had to sit in her car in the street while I went to try and get checked in. There was no parking in the garage which if there was would have costed $39. We had to park in an affiliated parking lot almost 2 blocks away and was charged $30. We were told if we left the parking lot later to go look around we would have a parking spot when we came back.……

“There is no self parking- only valet. That is a big no for me. The hotel is old, but very well maintained. It’s ok for a very short stay.”

“The bed sheets had holes in them. The bathroom appeared to be clean, but the shower walls had orange-colored stains from dirt. I didn’t use the white towels because they looked gray and dirty, so I had to buy new towels just to be able to shower. The sofa also looked dirty and unhygienic. Although the hotel states that smoking is not allowed, there was a noticeable smell of marijuana coming from nearby rooms. Honestly, I would not recommend this place for families with small children.
