Married lives begin and movies are made beside this popular water attraction. Come to experience one of the world’s largest waterfalls.

Tourists visit Niagara Falls year round for excellent vantage points from Fallsview. Watch in amazement as 600,000 gallons (2,000,000 liters) of water per second thunder over Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side of this natural attraction. Standing beside, flying over, going behind or boating below the falls allows you to see their majesty from various perspectives.

The Niagara River drops 170 feet (52 meters) into the gorge. Note that the water crashing over the falls originates from the Great Lake system containing one-fifth of the world’s fresh water. Visitors are always provided a spectacle from one of the world’s largest falls. In winter the falls become partially frozen resulting in dramatic ice formations.

Much of the accommodation in Fallsview is strategically located to take advantage of breathtaking views. For a bird’s-eye view, go to the Skylon Tower’s observation space. At 775 feet (236 meters) above the gorge, it’s an incredible vantage point during the day or at night when the falls are lighted. Enjoy a meal in the revolving restaurant that makes a complete turn each hour.

Feel the falls as you’re enveloped in its mist aboard the Voyage to the Falls boat tour. Tours leave from the town of Niagara Falls from April to November for a closer view of Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and the Niagara Gorge. Maid of the Mist on the U.S. side offers another exciting boat tour.

Get even closer to the falls by walking behind them. The Journey Behind the Falls has observation decks beside the thundering water. Access the viewing area from Fallsview by descending in an elevator and walking through tunnels bored through rock. The sound of the falls is intense. Stop at the portals cut through rock to watch the water hurtling past you at about 40 miles (65 kilometers) per hour.

Fallsview is just south of Niagara Falls, Ontario. If you’re traveling from the U.S., cross the Rainbow Bridge and drive 1 mile (1.5 kilometers) south to get here. Enjoy the neighborhood’s casino, shops and restaurants.

Loved the falls hated the commercialism. Stayed for 24 hours and saw from all angles. Get a hotel on Canadian side! But American side is best for getting up close and personal. #waterlust #endlesssummer
