“Everything was just perfect. Smooth checkin, the staff were really welcoming and approachable. The room was spotless, spacious, the layout was well thought out and the bed was very comfortable. “Amazing place! The ladies in reception of the hotel where we picked up the keys were so lovely. The apartment was stunning and over 2 floors, beautiful big bay window over looking the sea and the beds were very comfortable. It was extremely clean and tidy. Also loved the spa. “Fabulous stay at the Mountain View property. Perfectly located in Dolgellau to either take local walks or drive further afield. Candy & Marcus were perfect hosts, quickly responding to any questions. House was very clean and well appointed to make our stay enjoyable. “Be very aware that this is on a campsite so can be busy. For me the biggest issue was that I had missed that there is further accommodation above the property so that it is an apartment rather than a cottage. We had people above for only 2 of our 7 night stay which I was very grateful for. The sound of walking is loud and constant which ruins the quiet. “Lovely apartment in a great location right next to the shops and beach. Easy check in, thanks to Vic and Mary. Barmouth is a great place to stay with plenty of places to eat. Would recommend the Mermaid chip shop next door to the apartment and the Royal is a great pub to visit. The slate mines at Llanfair are well worth a visit as is Porthmadog by train. I would definately recommend this apartment”

"The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night. The toilet also did not work properly, the flush was extremely weak. There was no way of contacting the hotel at night to sort out the shower issue and the reception runs from 3pm to 6pm instead of 8pm as stated here. Would recommend if those management issues were fixed."
