“We had such a wonderful weekend at the cabin. Bob was a great host and even provided breakfast the first day. The cabin was spacious and cozy at the same time and the views from the porches and the dock were beautiful. We enjoyed the canoe rides on the lake and early morning yoga on the dock. The cabin was so easy to get to and in a great location close to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. We hope we will be able to stay here again in the future.”

“This place is FANTASTIC!! It's quiet, peaceful, and has incredible views of the mountains. Don't let the drive up intimidate you because it is worth it!! The hosts are so nice and have paid attention to all the details that made staying here special, from the automatic nightlight in the bathroom to the games in the living area. I have now convinced myself I need a small cabin tucked high in the woods because I didn't want to leave. Black Mountain and Montreat are small towns with so much charm……

“Absolutely loved this property! We chose this home at Rumbling Bald to accommodate family for our son’s wedding which was onsite. We had 10 adults, an infant, and a dog. The space was perfect. The bottom level was its own private space which was perfect for the family members with the baby. The main level bedroom fit our needs so our elderly parents did not have to climb stairs and the upstairs bedrooms were spacious enough for the rest of the crew. “Absolutely charming and very well equipped small home. A lot of small amenities to make it welcoming. Didn't realize it had steps, that was our fault for not checking. We found the registration process to be confusing trying to do it through Expedia as it was a vbro. The owner went out of her way to be helpful.”
