¡La temporada de caza de patos comenzará pronto y nuestra propiedad es paralela a las persianas! Nuestro muelle es perfecto para estacionar su bote.

Nuestra hermosa casa frente al lago tiene una terraza acristalada, sala de recreación, sala de estar, cocina totalmente equipada, gran mesa de comedor alta, 3 habitaciones grandes y 2 1/2 baños. Tenemos camas para 10 personas con la opción de camas portátiles para cuatro personas más. Nuestra casa tiene un muelle privado para pescar. Salga de la sala de sol a una gran terraza con vistas a otra cubierta más pequeña con bañera de hidromasaje. El aire es tan limpio y solo hay el sonido de pájaros cantando para que su visita sea tan agradable. Incluso podrías ver un ciervo salvaje o dos.

Nuestra sala de recreación recientemente renovada cuenta con una mesa de billar, tablero de dardos y centro multimedia con un televisor de 65 ", un sofá de 3 asientos, dos mecedoras / sillones reclinables giratorios y una mesa de pub con dos taburetes.

¡Traiga su bote y átelo a nuestro muelle, o use la rampa pública a poca distancia del agua! No se pierda la increíble oportunidad de descansar, relajarse y recargar energías. Nuestros amigos y familiares han dicho que este lugar es increíble. Espero que también lo encuentres increíble.

Property was clean and in good location on the lake. Check-in was a little strange with the property owner requiring to meet us and show us the rules before giving us a key or the code. Overall was an OK stay, but it was very hot and the rules on the wall did not allow AC unit to be turned below 74.

So peaceful and the house has everything you need

One of the reasons we chose the Chaffin home was due to some of the extra amenities, such as pool table and hot tub. Although we didn't get much of a chance to use the hot tub since it was a heat wave while we were there, we definitely made good use of the rec room and pool table. The home is very cozy but has lots of room. I loved spending time in their sun room in the mornings. And of course, we spent alot of time on the lake. We brought our boat and took advantage of the great dock with a nearby boat ramp. There are alot of steps to the dock, but we just planned well so that we didn't have to make too many trips up and down. Margaret was great about communicating with us and answering our questions. While some vrbo's only have the bare minimum when it comes to supplies, the Chaffins have everything you could possibly need. The last evening we were there it cooled off and we got to sit outside and enjoy the back deck and the sound of all the birds. It was a great stay!

Very relaxing

Our experience with this property was great ! I think everyone in our group look forward to coming again. The view was great in fact I fell outside one of the businesses in big sandy and broke 3 ribs so I spent a lot of time enjoying setting in the recliner enjoying it. Margaret was great. We hope to rent it again this summer. The house and surroundings were the most peaceful place.

Bizarre experience

I have mixed emotions about this trip. The location was lovely. We had a wonderful time with our friends on the lake. There were many kid friendly and not so kid friendly aspects to the home. When we arrived, the owner, Margaret, met us there and walked us through the home for 45 minutes explaining how to do things. She had provided groceries and gifts for the kids. She was very kind on arrival but over the top. I have Never had this experience with rentals in the past. I was trying hard to be polite after driving 3 hours with 2 small children. She also returned to the home on our second day as she had forgotten her medications. The home was jam packed with stuff. The kitchen is a hoarders paradise for cooking family meals. There were many glass pieces/candles/extension outlets that I had to put up away from the kids. Many personal items of the owners were out in the open. There was an insulin vial left in a mini fridge and needle left on the bar counter. My husband and I did all that was asked and written down on multiple instruction sheets. She texted us during our stay to make sure we did things properly. We were asked to bag all our trash which everything under my control was done as asked. I just received a text accusing me of not doing so and stating she "wish(es) I could follow a simple direction". Not only am I offended by her abusive language. I regret spending any money staying in her home. Other than that the beds were horribly uncomfortable.

Great property! May not be for your kiddos, though.

Margaret and her husband were great and super communicative and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. However, we have kids aged 15 and 10 who were not allowed to use the hot tub, so if you’re coming for the hot tub and have kids this property is not for you. Also, when we arrived we were asked not to allow our son to play pool on the pool table, so if you’re coming to allow the kids to use the pool table this property is not for you. Although these factors were a disappointment to us, in all fairness please read the property’s fine print because the host does say to contact her if you will be bringing kids. Excellent property for couples or groups without kids.

Big Sandy

Well we loved the property. Margaret is wonderful to work with. She’s very upbeat and what hospitality! The home itself had a relaxed vibe. Loved the view from the sun room facing the lake. The little town of Big Sandy has a nice grocery store-Cash Saver. Great prices and owners. Mom and Pops Pizza was delicious. Need ice cream? Homemade baked goods? Go to Adens! Loved that place. And the wildlife refuge you’ve got to stop in and see! Hummingbirds, Bald Eagles we saw sipping coffee on back porch. Wonderful!

Amazing Home

If you are looking for a spacious, clean, well stocked home with a gorgeous view… book this home! My family takes an annual trip for our dad to go fishing. This trip was the best one yet… The house is very clean, the outdoor area is spacious and the hot tub was great after a long day on the lake. The pool table and dart board were a great bonus. We brought our small fishing boat and were able to launch it right down the road (walking distance). The trek down the stairs to the dock from the home is a little long and the “trip” back up can be a little rough on the legs but it’s definitely worth it. Margaret is an amazing host. We hope to return next year!

Second stay!

Wonderful house on the lake, close to town but feels so secluded! The house has everything we need for a long weekend and plenty of space for everyone to spread out, also a nice open concept living and dining area for spending time together! We are repeat customers and will definitely be back again! Beautiful property!

We had a wonderful stay at the house! It had everything we needed! We had plenty of room both inside and out to relax and enjoy our vacation. So close to town but so quiet and peaceful. Girls Weekend

We had a wonderful girls weekend celebrating our friend’s upcoming wedding. The home is spacious and easy to navigate. We spent all of our time on the back porch and the dock, swimming and enjoying the view. I would absolutely come back!

If you're looking for a sunset view, this is it!

I can't say enough about how great our stay was! The layout of the house was amazing and the kitchen was better stocked and more organized than any rental house I have ever booked before. We enjoyed the hot tub, lake and fire pit and really enjoyed the quiet location and views from the decks. If I had to pick on one thing it would be that there was not a ladder to get up from the water onto the dock and we didn't think to look for this prior to jumping in... hahaha. We made it work, but folks older than us or younger may have issues so plan ahead for that. All in all we would 100% return and recommend this house for a nice getaway!

Excellent spot for a family vacation

The house dramatically exceeded expectations. Enough space for a large family and never feel cramped. A hot tub right outside to relax, a short walk down the stairs to swim in the lake, a rec room with a huge TV to watch movies at night. Beds were very comfortable and dining area fully stocked with kitchenware to make meals. Only a five minute drive into town if incidentals were needed. Would recommend highly for anyone looking for a private lake getaway!

Enchanting, Entertaining and Relaxing

You maybe looking at this listing wondering if it’s right for you.... stop looking. You’ve found the place for you and yours. Even if it’s slightly out of where you thought you wanted to be. It’s worth every second of every penny. From cleanliness, to communication there wasn’t anything about the stay at Margaret’s home which wasn’t perfect. The property is gorgeous. The home is comfortable and lets you feel like you belong there. Not like other rentals where you feel out of place. Never did any of me and my group of friends ask “what are we going to do today?” From pool, grilling, hot tub, swimming, boating and exploring we made the most of the home and wanted more. Margaret made sure we were left alone, we had everything we needed, and communicated up until the last minute. I am telling you, don’t pass up the opportunity and make sure you book extra days than you thought you needed. Because you will want them. At the time of writing this, it has been three days and I cannot stop thinking about my stay. I want to go back. Thank you Margaret.
