9.6/10 Exceptional! (2,213 reviews)
My husband worked in Chattanooga Hospital for 6 days. Let me begin by sharing what I loved! 1. Great location! So many wonderful restaurants and venues w/in walking distance. 2. The rooms were decorated in beautiful jewel tones. 3. The property/ rooms look beautiful online.
Here’s what I didn’t love: We stayed in a room for 5 days—not a train car. The room was decorated well—but in many ways, impractical—it was difficult to set up a “home office.” There is no room service for meals or snacks—that I know. There are no ice machines—so, you can only get ice in the mornings—or before the coffee bar closes. (No one tells you this). Thankfully, the hotel allows pets—but there was an obvious pet “smell” from the minute we entered the hotel. Though our room was deemed “accessible” (which we neither needed nor requested), interesting that the entrance doors to the hotel lobby and elsewhere weren’t automatic—entrance and exit required a huge tug on the handles of heavy doors. Very awkward. We were charged for drinking water that wasn’t in the mini-fridge. Parking fees seemed excessive—$20/car per day. The staff was cool, not overly friendly or welcoming. The attached bar was a fun spot but, dirty counters and tables when we visited. (Maybe understaffed?). There was no room service—which would have loved! Overall, the stay was “meh.” But again, you can’t beat the location!! We spent our last night at anothet hotel; made all the difference in our experience.
